The Emerald Coast's first private Art Center, the Cristel Éditeur d'Art Center organizes four annual exhibitions of major contemporary artists present in museums around the world: Valerio Adami, Erró, Peter Klasen and Jacques Villeglé... It exclusively presents the animal sculptor Damien Colcombet.

Thematic exhibitions of modern artists are also organized (Signac, Corot, Emile Bernard...)

Exhibition "Daniele Steardo. Present moments"
From October 21, 2023 to January 13, 2024.

How did Daniele Steardo become a master of contemporary art? By installing, in 2006, at the request of the city of Milan, fifteen tons of Carrara marble patiently transformed into a sort of sheet of disturbing lightness... Obviously, in his paintings and in his drawings, Daniele Steardo proceeds from the same way. Mastery of form, mastery of line, mastery of material, mastery of colors which earned him the admiration of great collectors.

For three months, the Cristel Éditeur d’Art Center has the pleasure of presenting around twenty paintings. Two types of works. First, figurative paintings recalling the singularity of Daniele Steardo: a painter-sculptor. That is to say a painter capable of imposing on the canvas faces, looks, attitudes that we can no longer forget.

And then there is the other part of his work, as unexpected as it is spectacular. Because Daniele Steardo paints meadows like Claude Monet painted his water lilies. A parallel that is all the more explicit since the painter began a series in 2016 that has never been completed: 40 canvases of varying size. Some can be seen in Saint-Malo. The first visitors said it: magnificent!
